Today a local paper highlighted the strains that special-needs families are experiencing at this time.
I was very honored to be interviewed for this article and I hope that I brought to light how the community can help special needs families at this time.
DAMES has also opened up membership to the general public at this time. If you or someone you know needs access to online self-care tools please sign up for a free one-month membership. https://damesusa.com/quarantine-care/
This week D.A.M.E.S. was featured in the Scottsdale Progress Newspaper. Mr. Paul Maryniak did an excellent job capturing the motivation behind starting D.A.M.E.S. and the impact we hope to have on the differently-abled community.
He also highlighted the business expo we are having next weekend.
Today I had the honor of being interviewed by Shannon Penrod on Autism Live. If you don’t follow her YouTube channel you should. She is a wonderful resource for parents and practitioners who care for autistic children. She was wonderful and gave me a lot of time to talk about my personal story and about D.A.M.E.S. I’m so grateful for this opportunity.
This week an article featuring D.A.M.E.S. (Differently Abled Mothers Empowerment Society) was published in the Wrangler Newpaper. This story not only shares the genesis of D.A.M.E.S. but also my personal struggle as I watched both of my children recieve the autism diagnosis.
It is a wonderful article and I hope you enjoy reading it.
